Spring Program 2013

Our family enjoyed another amazing night at the K-3 Spring Program and Open House.  We continue to be amazed at Mrs. Huisken's ability to put together a wonderful night.  She is able to bring out the best in all of these kids.  Here is video of Anika's and Andrew's classes doing their parts in the "Celebrating America" evening.  A special highlight this year was being able to share this night with Nene and Papa.  They were able to get into town just in time to join us.  They were also able to be a part of the Grandparent's Day at Ripon Christian on Thursday before jetting off to back down south to  go to another Grandparent's Day for their other grandchildren.  Whew!  They somehow got it all in.  We are so grateful!

Look at Me!!!!

She looks so small to me, but here is my four-year-old riding her bike!!!!  We are three for three on learning to ride with the pedal-less bike technique.  Kathryn has been using a small bike with no pedals for about 9 months.  She had NO interest in her bigger bike and letting mom help her.  She humored me about 3 times in then I gave up.  Yesterday, she decided it was the day and I hardly had to touch her.  She is my little speed demon.

She wanted me to snap a picture of her "not smiling".

Almond Blossom 2013

Another Almond Blossom Parade is in the books -- and as usual we got to see our favorite and a few new ones!  We always get a kick out of the mini-lizzies and the horses.  This year was fun because Anika had just asked me what "riding shotgun" meant, and a Wells Fargo Stagecoach drives by to give us a visual, history lesson.  I also enjoyed the lady with her miniature pony.
Wicker Kids enjoying another great parade on a breezy day.

Wells Fargo provides a image lesson!

Andrew got a kick out of the Batmobile.
